An IC marketing site has to show an overseas buyer what you sell, why the supply is credible, and how to send one useful inquiry. Design, the public pages, the admin, and maintenance are four different deliveries even though all four are called “building a website.”
Design follows how buyers look
Buyers arrive by category, brand, part number, application, or a parameter. Draw those entries before choosing colors. The home page should say whether you are a manufacturer, an agent, or a trader. Product pages show parameters, not only package photos.
The public site has to be usable
On a phone and a desktop browser, a visitor should search one part, open the parameter table, and submit an inquiry. Button labels name the action, such as request a quote. Language switching has to change titles, parameter names, buttons, and errors, not only the menu.
Staff should be able to change the admin
Marketing staff should add a category, upload a datasheet, edit a title, and retire a part that is gone. Inquiries should filter by time, part number, and owner. Price edits, order viewing, and article publishing should not share one administrator login.
Stability, security, and content updates are different jobs
Stability is a valid certificate, a watched host, and a backup that can be restored. Security is an encrypted inquiry, limits on uploaded files, and accounts that can be revoked. Content update means a named person for parts, articles, and translations. A yearly fee that never tests a restore is not maintenance.
Common questions
Is a language button enough for a second language?
No. Each language needs its own title, description, columns, and parameter names. A translated menu with the other language still in the table is not ready.
What should a maintenance agreement include?
Certificate renewal, whether a backup can be restored, who answers a failure, and who updates content. A backup that has never been restored does not count as done.
Can marketing pages and product pages share a template?
The visual frame can match. The fields cannot be skipped. A marketing page explains an application. A product page has to check a part number and start an inquiry.
