A module map is a way to refuse work you do not need yet. If most inquiries still cannot be priced from a trusted stock file, payment is early. The base is a part someone can find and ask about.
The base: find one part and ask
Product data, search, articles, inquiry, mail, and permissions can run without a cart. Articles answer selection questions. Inquiry and mail carry the part number to a person. Permissions decide who may change a price.
The commerce layer waits for clear rules
Customer prices, a cart, payment, shipping, and promotions assume you can state stock, a price, and what happens when the part is short. Turn them on when those rules are true for most lines, not because a demo showed them.
Stock and price need a source you can name
Use your warehouse, a supplier agreement, or a manufacturer feed you are allowed to publish. Copying another site’s prices and stock is not your available supply. Show when the numbers were updated.
Language, ads, and third parties are attachments
A language is another set of titles and parameter names, not a second catalog. Advertising and payment providers sit beside the part record. They should not become the only place the order exists.
Choose by people and goods, not by a feature count
A trader with a few hundred parts and a salesperson needs inquiry more than eight languages. A stock business with stable rules can add payment. More modules are not a more complete site.
Turn modules on for the current operation
List what you can do this month: quote, ship, translate, and update stock. Enable the modules that match. Leave the others off so the public site does not offer a button you cannot complete.
Common questions
Does a new export site need payment?
Not if you still cannot give a usable price and stock for most inquiries. Start with inquiry. Payment fits a business that already has stock and order rules.
Can the site use prices and stock from someone else’s website?
No. An unauthorized copy is not your stock. Prices and quantities should come from your warehouse, a supplier agreement, or a manufacturer feed you may publish, with the update time shown.
Should eight languages launch together?
Start with the languages customers actually write in. Each one needs a person to check parameter names. Fewer languages beat wrong translations.
